Established by Ehsan Sadigh in early 2013, Quartet Diminished aims at creation of musical moments based on its member’s individual or collaborating ideas, which range from ethnic folk to completely original compositions. The quartet (Ehsan Sadigh, g. – Mazyar Younessi, p./voc. – Peter Soleimanipour ts./ss./bscla. and Rouzbeh Fadavi, dr.) strives to the creation of soundscapes that reflect their contemporary view towards the music from all over the world as it may be practiced in their native land, Iran. Quartet Diminished promenades from the 70’s psychedelic music to native folk dances, from 20th century’s Avant garde to contemporary jazz, from entirely defined compositions to completely improvised moments.
