It is reminiscent of the lack of kinship of the “Echo” myth, a myth that, after being dependent, suffered an emotional shock and ate nothing until diminished to skin and bone and finally to “sound” (the reflection of sounds in the silent mountains).
In the age of technopoly, man loses his defense against speed and time, and design in this field puts its strength and energy together in order offer a suitable and appropriate answer to this situation.
Anorexia Nervosa, designed by M. H. GH., is the product of this situation. The obsession to make things thinner and slimmer, madly and sickly, takes time and speed, suitable for the present time. The starting point of this idea is associated with making the wood thinner and finer. It took more than 4 years to produce an all-wood product with a length of 2.9 meters, a width of 50 centimeters, a thickness of 11 millimeters, and an incredible weight of 28 kilograms.
Anorexia Nervosa, one of the world’s thinnest all-wood tables, associates the executive precision of “finger joints” and the details of the joints evokes the elegance of the “Bannai” art or the “merlons” of architecture. You have to take the time to enjoy the creative initiative of the designer.
This table was proudly designed and built in Shiraz.
